Jon Gill

Jon is a senior machine learning engineer with a strong foundation in both applied mathematics and data science. A double major in Data Science and Pure Mathematics from UC Berkeley, Jon has a passion for both building innovative products and teaching. During his time at Berkeley, he co-founded Bids Events, an end-to-end event management platform designed for university students. He also served as a tutor for courses like Data 8, Data 100, and Stat 134, helping students grasp the fundamentals of data science and probability. After graduation, Jon joined a seed-stage startup as a founding engineer, building their machine learning product from 0 to 1. Jon continues to tutor high school and college students, focusing on machine learning and mathematics, and is driven by a desire to help students understand the "why" behind the concepts they study.
